Kicking off our 19th year with a bang, Artists Emerge is Canada’s premier street dance competition, crafted by dancers, for dancers. We’re more than just a stage; we’re a movement that unites the dance community, breaks barriers, and delivers a transformative experience for all levels. With a focus on community, respect, and positivity, we ensure fair competition by grouping dancers into Accelerated and Recreational levels. Every dancer, from newbies to pros, has a chance to shine, win prizes, and compete in the Finals. Join us to celebrate 19 years of epic performances and unforgettable moments. HEADLINERS
Our judging panel is composed of two renowned street dance adjudicators to provide meaningful, specialized, and relevant feedback to each dance discipline. Our faculty are not only judges but world class educators, their goal is to help your students leave our event excited, inspired and a stronger dancer.

NEW FOR 2025! Q&A + BREAK IT DOWN
We understand the immense value that our headliners’ insights and expertise bring to your dancers. To bridge the gap between dancers and adjudicators, this season we’re introducing daily scheduled Q&A sessions with the headliners, as well as interactive “Break It Down” sessions on stage. In these sessions, headliners will offer real-time feedback and invaluable guidance to enhance dancers’ future performances. These events are also open to directors, teachers, and parents.
Our industry-leading headliners follow a comprehensive guideline to evaluate each dancer and group individually, in line with our judges’ criteria. At AE, we focus on offering meaningful feedback and assessment based on each performance’s unique qualities, rather than comparing dancers against each other.
They are assisted by professional writers who handle all note-taking and feedback documentation, allowing them to focus entirely on the dancers. This setup ensures they can concentrate fully on the performances without the distraction of managing their own notes or recording systems.
