CAN I BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE?
Vancouver April 1st 2023 – Bell Performing Arts Centre
$20 Adult – Includes: All day access to Competition + 1 digital program
Conditions: not guaranteed Finals
$10 Youth – Includes: All day access to Competition
Conditions: (child must be present to pick up)
*Dancers watch for free – based on capacity/availability. Dancers please go to Merchandise Booth for audience wristband.

CAN I REGISTER FOR THE CONVENTION ONLINE?
Yes! Save time waiting in lines and register online HERE.
Observer passes for the Multi-Discipline convention are also available online.
When/Where do I Drop off my Child?
You should have a pre-arranged time with your instructor but Artists Emerge access to the building opens 1hr prior to the start of each competition day.
DO DANCERS NEED TO SIGN IN?
We no longer have a dancer sign in.
CAN WE BUY PHOTOS?
Are there programs?
Is there a rehearsal space?
When available, a communal rehearsal space will be provided and indicated with signs. Please be respectful of other dancers and share this space.
WHAT ARE YOUR COVID POLICIES?
We are following all of our venues policies which abide by the current PHO.
In Edmonton, there are no longer masks or vaccine mandates at our venue. No dancers or audience members are required to show proof of vaccination or wear masks.

I have large props! what do i do?
Please contact Artists Emerge as soon as possible to notify them of your large prop for further instruction as we have specific load-in time frames at each venue. A “Large Prop” would be an item that requires loading in via the loading dock & cannot fit easily through standard doorways (prop doors, tables, multiple chairs, set pieces).
ARE THERE LONG LINEUPS FOR TICKETS?
Vancouver Tickets are available for purchase online in advanced to ease lineups at the venue.
Edmonton Tickets will be available at venue purchase by CREDIT or DEBIT ONLY.
when does guest seating open?
Venue doors open 30 mins before the competition starts. We also clear the venue during extended meal breaks & before the Final Showdown events begin. Do not leave personal items behind or attempt to hold seats!
Can dancers sit in the audience & watch?
In Edmonton (Shell Theatre), dancers may watch for free subject to venue capacity/availability as we will have limited capacity at the venue. Dancers must check in at the Merchandise Booth to receive a wristband.

In Vancouver (Bell Performing Arts Centre), we can accommodate a larger audience & dancers may watch for free subject to venue capacity/availability. Dancers must check in at the Merchandise Booth to receive a wristband.

Can Parents go backstage to help?
Backstage is for AE staff, competitors, instructors & studio owners. Parents of dancers under 12 should arrange for a teacher to help their child backstage. Having your child’s hair & makeup ready before also helps! If a parent must be backstage, please ensure you have your access wristband on & return to the audience as soon as possible.
Are there dressing rooms?
There will be change space provided at each venue. Please do not leave valuables or personal belongings in the dressing spaces after your performance. Space is limited. All items must be packed up and removed from the dressing rooms after your performance/adjudication.
Artists Emerge will not be held liable for any items lost or stolen. Your items are your responsibility.
HOW DOES THE AE FINAL SHOWDOWN WORK?

It is important to us to make sure all ages are involved and get to experience our Final Showdown. We feel that this high energy, exciting environment helps inspire and motivate young dancers. After all, they work hard on their pieces throughout the year and to make it to the “Final Showdown” is something they should be proud of!

Our Multi-Discipline Finals are structured in three age divisions, Minis/Juniors, Teens & Varsity *these qualifiers are all based on top three scores in each division*

TOP 3 ~ Varsity Groups
A running list of preliminary finalists will be updated during the event on our social media channels & on-site.

The Allstars Competition happens during the Street Dance Final Showdown! Featuring some of the best pre-professional street dance crews competing at the Junior, Teen/Varsity & Adult divisions.
